Kim Victoria Cattrall, born August 21, 1956 in London was the daughter of a British and Canadian actress. Her most well-known role was for her character Samantha Jones on the HBO show Sex and the City. For this role she won the Golden Globe Award for 2002 for the Best Supporting Female actor. She played the same role in the films Sex and the City 2008 and Sex and the City 2 2010. Also, she is known for her leading roles in the films of the 1980s Police Academy Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin and Porky's. Kim Cattrall will be remembered for her portrayal of Samantha Jones in the HBO sitcom Sex & the City. The role of Samantha Jones played by noted actress Cattrall was a pivotal event in her career. The show not only increased her popularity amongst the national viewers, but also helped make her an international star giving her much fame and recognition. Anita Ekberg...................Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress who appeared in several European as well as American films. Most well-known is her part in the drama comedy film La Dolce Vita. In 1960, the film was awarded an Oscar along with the Golden Palm by the Cannes Film Festival. The film also had critical and commercial success. She was born in Skane, Sweden and did modeling before she began acting. She won in the Miss Sweden competition. After moving to the US she began acting in several movies and playing minor roles. In the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars she was credited as the role of a Venusian. Following that following her appearance as an unproven newcomer for the film Blood Alley she was awarded the Golden Globe in the most exciting category.
